Looks pretty good. Do you have any "brighter" photos? It's hard to see the details.

NICE TRUCK. ISN'T THIS THE TRUCK NICKNAMED THE "JAPANESE FREIGHTLINER". Yes, it is the Japenese Freightliner, but I forgot the story behind it. I LOVE IT! Turned out really nice. Where'd you get the cab from? I got it from a fellow modeller who got it off ebay.

Basically it was discovered that many of the truck's parts were stamped "made in Taiwan, Japan, etc", hence the nickname. Apparently a lot of outsourcing on this truck on the part of White Motors.

hey, fellows-262emeryville here. NO arguments please- The white 5000 was the first truck referred to as the "japanese freightliner". (1960-62) i believe reason being all fiberglass cab, if you check up on the history of the 7400 you might find that the cab was mostly or all aluminium. if i remember, carolina freight got a mess of them when they first came out. the cab seemed not to take much over the road abuse(breaking at the seams after a short time. JMO later 262emeryville.
